Many of the doors in my parents' 112-year-old Victorian house still lock with skeleton keys. It gives you a taste of the famous Wonderland when you turn the key and hear the heavy lock "clunk" into place. Though I don't know if jewelers make pieces featuring old-fashioned keys with Alice and the Mad Hatter in mind, the weight of a key in your hand and around your neck will put you right into your own story.
Look through our fashion pendants to find a wide variety of charms for your own fairytale. You can wear one key on its own, or try wearing several key pendants on one necklace for a truly whimsical look. Start with this Meredith Leigh crown key necklace and add this pewter Fleur de Lis key and this sparkly sterling silver charm.
The key look isn't exclusive to necklaces. You'll find the theme in almost every type of jewelry. I adore this Geneva Platinum lock and key charm watch. This sterling silver pink CZ heart and key ring would make a very romantic gift.
If I soon look like I got lost in the secret room in my parents' house that my sisters and I SWEAR exists, will you kindly let me know? Are you drawing fashion inspiration from any fairytales this fall?

I love the idea of a skeleton key -- and of taking my inspiration from fairytales!
I'm going to wear a giant fake nose, inspired by Cyrano de Bergerac.
I love keys! The Secret Garden's imagery has always stuck with me -- though it's not a fairy tale. I'm probably not basing any fashion choices on fairy tales, but I am obsessed with jewelry and home decor that deals with time, such as hourglasses and clocks. The key jewelry goes along with that sense of time and space, too.
Well now I wish I had been planning fairytale-themed outfits! I guess now is the time to start! I love the Alice in Wonderland thing, and it's great for fall. I've always loved SnowWhite, and apples could be a fun fashion theme too.
I love the apples idea! I remember Carrie had a huge apple necklace pendant on a very long chain in Sex and the City and I always wanted it.
