This had a big dent on one side but I hammered it
I bought two of these and working by myself again. I started at 11AM on Friday.Things were not fitting properly and some of the drilled holes were off. So it took a little longer to align everything. I alternated working on one bookcase with a step and then would do the other. Of course I took a lot of breaks if I got too sweaty. I completed this one at 6:30PM. The other Bookcase I got to the last middle shelf when I discovered I ran out of 4 Sheet Metal Screws and 2 Black Plastic Fasteners. This was around 8:30PM. The Safco Consumer Hotline was already closed and I had to wait until Monday to call. I called Monday but they were closed due to the Labor Day Holiday. So I called Tuesday Morning and Safco Customer Service would send me a replacement bag of Screws and Fasteners. As they could not just send me 4 Screws and 2 Fasteners. They said they would pull it from another bookcase. So Some Unlucky Buyer will be short a bag of screws and fasteners like I was.
- How accurate was the sizing? Some of the holes were off so it was more difficult to assemble.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. It had dents,dings,scrapes so it was probably not brand new but repackaged.
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? No. Some holes were off. Some parts had to be bent or widened to make them fit correctly.

The materials used have a weird color but so far the bookcase is doing what it is supposed to.
