I do a lot of sketching and some writing in pencil, so I was very glad to find a mech pencil that isn't crying for lead all the time! i bought a dozen of these so I have one where ever I turn in my studio and a couple on the night stand as well! In the fall i will buy more for my 3 kids to take to school!
I purchased the .7mm lead version of this pencil about a year ago and loved it. It has huge lead capacity and an extendable eraser. The sliding lead guide works well and the eraser stays in position better than in the Papermate Titanium. It contains enough lead and eraser that you could probably be happy throwing it out once you run out of either, since you will have used the pencil a lot by then and it really is very inexpensive. I have used the .5mm version now for a month and it also seems very good for the similar reasons. For me the more rounded tip of the .7mm version is better for working puzzles (Soduko, Crosdwords) on newsprint. The .5mm is better for calculations and notes on better quality paper.
