don't waste your money on plastic dust pans, they crack, break and fall apart.
i've had a metal dust pan for as long as i can remember, until i moved and it
got miss placed. i bought a plastic one. totally useless, glad i found Overstock
this metal dust pan beats all the rest. heavy duty and will last a life time. plus it
doesn't have that stupid 1/4 inch lip lift. well worth the money!

These automatic trashcans are exactly as represented. They are very attractive, larger then the rubber type and even better then the picture depicts. They are a bit pricey-but this is what I was looking for and the pricing at Overstock was comparable to others. Because I am a regular customer with Overstock, I wanted the back up that I know is available from Customer Service. I have assigned one for trash and one for recyclibles. Everyone that visits does notice them and really likes thier looks. They do open if you walk to close to them--but I have found that be to be fun with visitors. You learn how to walk by and avoid that. I actually love to look at them always looking very clean and stuning.
using them for about a month now. I really like these cans. My husband was worried that the sensor would not read the movement but besides the sometimes few second delay to open they work great. I recommend not putting them in a high traffic walk areas because you will get tired of them opening for no reason besides you walking by. (it happens to me and all i think about is if Ill be replacing the battery sooner). The battery is not a big deal. Each take 4 "d" so 8 batteries cost $10. So far so good.
