Elec hoist

Hoist 440
I have been looking for an inexpensive hoist for many years. With my wife and myself getting older and lifting bulky and heavy items is getting harder for us, this is the perfect device for our needs. I have installed the hoist in the attic to lift and lower boxes and other items down through the folding ladder's opening. Granted the heaviest item in the attic is probably no heavier than 50 pounds, but it can be very difficult to move items up and down the ladder. The hoist comes completely assembled, I only had to mount it on a bar. ( In our case I use a metal square pole about 4 feet long so I could slide the hoist over the opening and back again, if needed. The remote is tethered to the hoist and has an easy up and down switch. The hoist also has a built in kill switch so the hook will auto shutoff when you lift the hook up to the hoist housing, A nice safety feature.

Good Hoist for the Money
This hoist is designed to hang from a sturdy metal bar, such as that found in an auto-repair garage. To attach it to a home garage ceiling takes some thought, but it wasn't hard.I did it by buying a 2-foot length of one-inch hollow square bar stock from the hardware store.
