I bought two of the racks. The racks were easy to put together however it would not hold very much clothes because of the weight of the clothing. We bought the racks to hold are clothes while are house was being remodeled and the rack fell over twice and the top would slide into the bottom causing the rack to end up being 3 ft high. We ended up puting tape at the joints to keep the rack at 5 ft high. Would have sent it back, but seemed like more work to dismantle them and repackage for mailing.

The base of the rack is made of plastic. Mine broke after severl month. I may have put to much weight (cloths) and it broke for that reason. It is hard to know how much cloths weigh.

The rack was not very sturdy. Especially in a raised position. As I was filling it with clotes it tipped over. In the lowest position it is adequate to suit my needs.

I needed something sturdy to hold a lot of my jackets and coats and this is one of the best investments that I have ever made.I'm quite pleased with it.would definitely buy another one when the need arise.should have thought about buying this one first.it's very useful with a top and bottom rack to store some extra things, like shoes and accessories.awesome!

This was the most flimsy rack! If your wardrobe consists of 3 things, then this is the right rack for you. Anything more is too much for its weak structure. The upper shelf can't hold more than a feather because of the cheap plastic that connects it to the rack. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

It is kind of wobbly and one must be careful when moving it. Does not work on a carpeted floor at all.

This garment rack was easy to assemble in very little time. It's a little wobbly if you shake it, but otherwise it appears sturdy and holds a lot of clothes. It's perfect for my son who shares a house off campus at college. His room doesn't have a closet so this was ideal and doesn't take up much room.

My husband, the cabinetmaker, assembled it for me, saying, over and over, "WHY did you buy this?" It's a good space-saver, that's why. But the cylinders don't fit properly into the holes, and it leans precipitously. We had to rig a hook into the wall to hold it upright. The top shelf is also very weak and will not hold anything of any weight. If this were built as well as it was designed, it would be great. I would not recommend this.

I bought this coat rack to place in the room coming in from my attached garage, so I could leave coats, boots, etc. without bringing them in to the main part of the house. It is ideal for that purpose and the shelf is convienient for hats, and gloves. It was very simple to assembly, the only problem I had was with the 2 outer rails on the bottom, they would not stay in place, they seemed to be too short, the 2 middle ones fit very tight like they all should. My rack is not too sturdy, but I just put 2 or three coats on it, later on I will try to get someone stronger than I am to try to fit it together better. I am satisfied with it, it looks nice and is serving the purpose I bought it for and for the price I would recommend it. Also, it arrived in just a couple of days which was great, because I really needed it. Thanks ,Overstock for great products and sevice.

I was running out of space in my closets so I invested in this rack. While this rack is very attractive, it is not at all sturdy. Lots of plastic in the construction. I used it to hang only blouses and tops and after the first day, it fell over. I reinforced by lashing it and then the side bar slipped down. I put tape under and over the bar coupler to secure it then the entire plastic frame bent at the base. Once plastic bends, that's it. So, I wasted my money. If you need extra storage for just very lightweight and a few items, this might work. Avoid heavy items (coats) or more than 25 items. It did not for me. I'm so disappointed as I really need the extra storage space!

easy to assemble. holds a large amount of clothes. handy if you have limited closet space. convenient shoe rack and overhead rack.

I purchase items fromOverstock on a regular basis. Usually I am very pleased with my purchases. I have to admit, this is the poorest product I have purchased from Overstock. When you pull the rack up high, and pull the extension ends out, it tips something terrible. Even with it pulled up only half way, it still has a tendancy to tip. The looks of the rack are fine, it's just that it is not sturdy and balanced appropriately to hold many clothes.

I purchased the clothing rack to hold extra coats during our holiday parties. It has come in handy and supports the weight of several winter coats.
