Metal Base Tubular Skylights
Due to the 80+ MPH winds up we often get out here in the desert, we needed a quality and strong product. These tubular skylights with the metal base met our needs perfectly. The local box stores don't offer anything of this quality so it was great to find them on Overstock. The skylights were easy to install and they add a lot of natural light to the rooms.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The metal base is far superior to the typical plastic base. Nice to have this product available compared to what the local box stores have available.

Quality Product
The product was manufactured very well. The dome is very sturdy, well made. The only thing that I would change is possibly a better packing method to avoid damage as any dent changes the reflection of the light passing through the tube. I would recommend this product to others.

- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality was very good with the exception of the tube being dented in 2 or 3 places. It almost appeared as if someone had already ordered this, tried to install it, maybe didnt' know what they were doing and returned it. I did take pictures of the item after I opened the box, however, I didn't have time to wait for another replacement to arrive due to bad weather coming and I needed to install it.

Light in the house...finally
We have a manufactured home in Central Florida.We had complained about inadequate brightness in the house.A neighbor had installed two solar tubes in his home and the effect was startling. Our experience was the same.We are now able to sit in our living room and read very comfortably.Prior to installing the solar tubes this had been impossible to do without several lamps being turned on.The product should pay for itself over coming years.
