I don't get it....Bing informed me that Overstock.com was the one who told them my order was canceled.....why did Overstock tell them such thing when the order was not canceled?? I have possession of the item received. Also why is Overstock

Hello thsell1 I am very sorry for any misunderstanding, and we are currently working with Bing to determine the possible reasons the cash back amount may have been changed or denied. The denial or change in cash back rewards was not a decision made by Overstock.com. The decision was made solely by Bing. The emails we've seen seem somewhat vague and I apologize if they have left the impression that Overstock.com initiated the cancellation. I would recommend contacting Bing customer service. You can reach them at cashback@microsoft.com and they should be able to let you know why the Cashback was canceled. Please let me know if you have additional questions and I'll be sure to give you any information that I have.

Just make sure that you dispute this FRAUD with your credit card company and report OVERSTOCK to BBB.

Hi gctrus, Overstock.com did not make the decision to cancel the Cashback. This was a decision made by Bing alone and they will hopefully correct the situation. We do not make it a practice to engage in fraudulent behavior, nor do we plan to. We at Overstock.com hope that Bing will correct the mistake soon.

The problem created by Overstock and not bing. Here is what my bing status not says:- ================== The store notified us that the purchase has been returned, exchanged, or canceled, or is ineligible per the Microsoft Service Agreement (Section 17). ================== It is clearly Overstock's fault.

Why has Overstock reportedly provided compensation to some Bing Cashback Denied orders to some customers but not all of us? It is being reported on Slickdeals Deal Forum that your customers service was provided immediate credit card compensation equal to the amount that Overstock errored in canceling/returning informing Microsoft. Why some and not all? I'm in the military and need that money - I wouldn't have purchased the items at the inflated regular prices ---- How about equality for all.....that's what I'm suppose to be defending you for (my order numbers canceled were 90964654 and 90964552)

kaptainkarma, I would also like to know why Overstock.com is selectively refunding the 30% cashback to certain customers back to their credit card??!! and denying help to some of us??! Overstock should head over to SlickDeals forums and read all the posts over there...we are ALL very frustrated and even more upset to find out that some folks have actually gotten credit back from Overstock while we are being told to contact Bing!

Bing blamed OS, OS blamed Bing, customers get the short end of the stick. Nothing new here folks, just don't do business with either parties in the future.

If bing decided to denied our cashback. Why don't you refund us what you are suppose to pay to bing? Maybe 50%. Since you don't have to pay your portion to bing, you can pay directly to us.

OverStock lies to Microsoft and says I returned my item. I'm just disputing the charge and never shopping at OverStock again.

I'm sure if this does not get resolved to our linking, it will be a massive returns and chargebacks.

I am also planning to dispute my charge with paypal.

Yep, chargeback coming soon...waiting one more day for them to fix it. Funny, a cs rep told me to send my opened and used purchase back and I'd get a full refund...policy says otherwise but they expect me to trust them. Yeah, right.

I have to say I am rather disappointed as well. I have never had an issue with either Bing (really Microsoft) or Overstock. And now Overstock keeps changing its story. I have counted 3, yes 3 different stories OS is reporting. #1. Bing canceled the cashback and not Overstock. This I can believe, BUT if Bing did cancel the cashback I believe it was because Overstock claimed that the item had been returned when it hadn't. #2. Your BCB was canceled because it was combined with a special promotion offer of 99 cent shipping. This is just complete BS and I'm pretty sure illegal. #3. Your BCB purchase was made through 3rd party sites which makes you ineligible for BCB. This is clearly just another lie. I don't even know what a 3rd party site for BCB looks like. And if it was a 3rd party site to begin with, then WHY did the 30% BCB show up in my account in the first place. I have still yet to be given an answer to a very simple question. Why was my BCB canceled in the first place???

In the same boat here, canceled bing cb and waited a full week to give me a bs reason as to why it happened. Overstock says I purchased thru a link or affiliate and that it doesn't qualify for bing. Whereas, I most definitely purchased from overstock after clicking the link from bing. Even as I was checking out it showed the estimated bing cb I would receive. Funny also how they waited til the day after I received my package to cancel the bing. I mean really overstock if you don't want to give people 30% off don't, why be so shady. Very very shady business practices here folks.

oh i got a new one. now, overstock has sent me an email saying i purchased my items through an affiliate site and that is why its cancelled. "Thank you for contacting us regarding the cash back promotion offered through Bing.com. I am happy to help regarding why your cash back rewards were canceled. Unfortunately, your recent purchase on invoice 909xxxxx was made through an affiliate or linked site. To be eligible for Bing.com cash back the purchase needs to be made from Overstock.com directly from Bing.com." I clicked on the overstock link directly from bing, so that is impossible. I will be sure neither I or anyone I know purchases from this site again.

This may be my first and LAST purchase with Overstock! I followed the rules to the letter and still my over $400 cashback was cancelled! Congratulations overstock, you are the first company I've ever had a bing cashback problem with!

please count for one more return and chargeback if this thing does not work out with bing.

WOW OVERSTOCK IS REALLY SCREWING OVER ITS CUSTOMERS ON THIS ONE. THE SECOND PARTY AFFILIATE EXCUSE IS NON-SENSE -- THAT'S HOW BING WORKS AND HAS ALWAYS WORKED ON OVERSTOCK UNTIL THE BIG 30% REBATE/CASHBACK. AS A CUSTOMER -- I WOULD NOT TRUST OVERSTOCK AGAIN (NOW AN EX CUSTOMER)

I thought they were a good Customer Service company. At least that is what they say they are. This sucks

I'll never shop here again. I should have learned my lesson the first time. I gave Overstock a 2nd chance after they tried to screw me several years ago. They will not get a 3rd chance. Ultimately, no matter how good the deal (which a good deal on Overstock is hard as hades to find anyway), it is not worth the hassles that will come with it due to their ineptitude.
