Please know that most "vinyl" shower curtains these days are made of PEVA - this is a type of vinyl that has NO chorides in it, which means it's not harmful to people or the environment like old, tradtional, pvc vinyl shower curtains. yes, the black is a little see-thru - which I like becuase it doesn't make the tub area too dark. I would recommend putting a liner behind this curtain if you don't want to see through it. There are darker, or even black liners out there. Otherwise, very pretty and bold.. Fun!
I read the reviews for this product and knew it would be transparent. What I didn't realize was that it would appear as more of a gray background rather than black (probably due to how thin the plastic is), and the top is lined with a white/off-white strip where the shower curtain rivets are located. We have it in front of a white liner curtain which doesn't help its cause, but even without the white liner the curtain is more gray than black. Maybe a black shower curtain liner would help? The tulips also suffer from being printed on a thinner plastic - they're less white and more grayish as well. Additionally, the quality is very similar to cheaper shower curtains you can get from bigger local stores - it's the shiny, thin, plastic-smelling curtain that many designs are slapped onto. The folds where the product was folded are very visible, and it's just not worth the twenty-something dollars we paid for it. I think it's worth closer to $10-$15. I gave it three stars because while it's not what I wanted, I'll keep it. It is a nice design, and it goes well enough with our bathroom decor. I would really like to see the design printed in material with a strong, true black background - I'll just have to keep looking. Overall, it's an average product: not great, not terrible.
I love the design of this shower curtain and although I was aware it was not fabric I did not expect it to look like a giant trash bag with a flower design on it. I would love this shower curtain if it were on fabric but the material it is on now makes it look super cheap.

I think this shower curtain is absolutely beautiful! Those who keep complaining about how it is see through and it didn't show that in the picture, look a little closer you can see the bath tub ha! I did have to buy a black liner but I have no problem with that, i don't want my shower curtain to hide behind my tub and get all yucky. My bathroom is small so the big flowers make it feel more comfortable and cozy. I think this shower curtain is perfect for someone who is looking for a colorful project or just a black and white design in their bathroom. good luck shower curtain searchers!
This shower curtain made a drab bathroom look just a little more sophisticated, if a bathroom can look sophisticated, it definitely gave it a look that's not so plain anymore. I love it.
It was rather gray-looking when it arrived because it is very very translucent. It looked odd in my black and white tiled bathroom because it is not at all black. The tulip print was very cool. But still, the photo on the website is not what the product looks like. The finish of the curtain is very glossy and very very shiny.
The cutains are thin but the look really nice. You need to put a liner behind it to make it look richer. It makes you want to decorate the whole bathroom.
I really rather cloth shower curtains but this looks pretty. I put a white liner with magnets behind this because to keep water from getting out of the shower. It could have been a little less in the price.

I bought a few of these on the picture alone..the picture shows it as a deep, rich, dark black color which is it NOT!...so, if like me, this is what you are looking for then do not buy this! It is nice, the florals against the darker background are pretty but the vinyl is translucent and is more of an opaque brown/black..maybe even a muted brownish gray that you can see thru rather than black when it is hung...so, please keep that in mind. Otherwise, it's very nice..and a nicer feel this peva material has than traditional vinyl. good luck!

I AM DISAPPOINTED IN THIS LOVELY SHOWER CURTAIN; IT WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. IF THE BACKGROUND OF MY SHOWER WAS DARKER, IT WOULD BLEND ALMOST PERFECTLY, BUT THE WHITE TUB MAKES THIS CURTAIN LOOKS GRAY AND DOES NO JUSTICE TO THIS LOVELY CASCADE OF BEAUTY. IF THIS CURTAIN WAS MADE FROM SATEEN MATERIAL, INSTEAD OF VINYL, YOU WOULD HAVE A MASTERPIECE.

The picture looks amazing...that's it. I read the reviews and one said that it looks like a giant trash bag. There isn't a better description than that. In fact, it even looks gray because the material is so thin. And it's stiff almost like cardboard. It was my mistake though for not paying more attention to the material it was made of. Great color and design, but terrible quality. Giving it away.

I loved the pattern on these shower curtains so much that I failed to notice they are vinyl (yuck)! So unfortunately back they went! Really wish I could have found them in a material but as hard as I looked no such luck. I finally did find something suitable online at walmart but would have loved this so much more.
Like another reviewer (kllova2) wrote, it is a really great design, which is why I've wanted this curtain for so long. But it would be MUCH better if it was fabric. Instead, it's a not so pleasant plastic that, yes, does look like a giant trash bag. I am using it in my guest bathroom, so I don't use it on a regular basis, just get to see it it when I walk by to the entrance of the apt. It looks nice, but I wouldn't trust it for regular use since it is a type of plastic. Also, it is a little see through. You'll probably want a liner with it.
